About Us

MISSION STATEMENT

The Wolf River Builders Association's purpose is to serve as an advocate and resource for area building industry professionals, while supporting a commitment to our community through leadership and education.

REASONS TO CHOOSE A WRBA MEMBER

Building or remodeling a home is a big decision. When doing so, consumers choose to use Wolf River Builders Association (WRBA) members for peace of mind, their dedication to professionalism and strong business ethics. 


PEACE OF MIND
Consumers trust WRBA members because they have met certain requirements set by the WRBA to protect consumers. This includes background checks, financial history, and interviews.


PROFESSIONALISM
WRBA members are dedicated to professionalism. Members have years of experience, as well as memberships in the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).


ETHICS
WRBA members promote and encourage the strongest level of business ethics and are held to high standards of personal and business conduct within the industry.


HIGH STANDARDS
All members of the WRBA must abide by industry stan­dards set forth by the Association. These standards relate to the materials and workmanship to which local build­ers adhere under local building codes.


INNOVATION
WRBA members are on the cutting edge of their industry. They stay current on the latest changes in products, technology, building codes/regulations, legislation and consumer preferences


EDUCATION
WRBA members benefit from continuing education, updates on building codes, standards, and regulations as well as seminars providing the latest trends and practices.


VARIETY
WRBA members offer a variety off products and services involved in the construction, development and remodeling of single and multi-family housing.


COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
WRBA members live and work in your community. They are involved in numerous charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, SAM25, Bridge the Gap, and SAFPARC; to name a few. 

WHAT WE DO (CODE OF ETHICS)

 The Purpose of this Association to the extent permitted by law shall be:

  1. To associate the builders within its jurisdiction for the purpose of mutual advantage and cooperation.
  2. To collaborate with all fields related to the building industry within Association's jurisdiction for the benefit of the industry as a whole.
  3. To assist in the accomplishment of the mutual objectives of the National Association of Home Builders and Wisconsin Builders Association.
  4. To operate without profit and no part of the income of the Association shall ensure to the benefit of any individual member.
  5. To subscribe to the Code of Ethics as adopted by the Builders Association, and to deal fairly with respective employees, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, customers and community

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Wolf River Builders Association Scholarship offers a scholarship(s) (up to 3 individuals), with the possibility of an individual receiving up to $1500. (The cap for all scholarships are set at $1500 per year). This is presented to a student or students who are continuing their education in a building associated trade. The scholarship is payable in one lump sum to be used for the initial semester at an accredited college, university, junior college, technical college, trade or vocational school or other approved educational organization.


Criteria for Selections are as Follows:

  1. Graduating senior of a high school located in Shawano, Oconto or Menominee counties.
  2. Show financial need.
  3. Proven leadership ability.
  4. Good moral character.
  5. Continuing their education in a building associated field.
  6. Scholarship request must be made on WRBA application.

The 2023 scholarship application is available here and in area schools. The deadline is March 15, 2023.

MEMBERSHIP

WRBA offers two types of regular memberships for builders and suppliers, subcontractors, or service providers. Membership is $450 per year, and also includes membership in the Wisconsin Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.


A Builder Member is company that is considered a builder in the construction industry.

An Associate member is a business that may be associated with the building industry in some way or form.

With an affiliate membership with WRBA, an additional owner/employee or retired employee/owner can be an affiliate member for $100/year. The affiliate membership is for someone that would like to be involved and attend meetings and networking opportunities under WRBA. Dinner meetings are included in this membership. This membership is not a separate membership, but under a regular membership, and must be approved by the Board of Directors.
